UI/UX Designer Cost in Lebanon 2026: Freelance vs Agency

UI/UX Designer Cost in Lebanon 2026: Freelance vs Agency

A freelancer, a salaried designer and an agency priced on one yearly scale, so a Lebanese owner can see which route fits their monthly design hours.

A mid-level UI/UX designer in Lebanon earns $550 to $900 a month, yet salary is the wrong number to compare. That band comes from Talents-OS, and owners usually hold it up against a freelancer's hourly rate and an agency's project quote. Those are three different units. Put them on one yearly scale and the cheapest route depends on one thing: how many design hours you need each month.

Every figure below is in fresh dollars and was read on 8 October 2026.

How much does UI design cost?

UI design in Lebanon costs $15 to $50 an hour from a local freelancer, or a fixed fee from about $400 for a few screens. Furrsati publishes those 2026 bands, and Lebanese UX profiles on Upwork list $30 to $36 an hour today. Agencies on Clutch mostly bill $25 to $49 an hour.

Agency work is sold by the project, and the projects are larger. Clutch reports that the UX and UI projects reviewed on its platform typically cost $10,000 to $49,999. That figure is global, so treat it as a ceiling for a Lebanese scope rather than a quote.

Voxire publishes its floors instead of hiding them, and our own published floors are simple. A focused landing page or feature redesign starts from $2,000, an MVP app interface from $4,500, and a full product engagement from $6,000 over 6 to 12 weeks. The full scope sits on our UI/UX design page, and the app-only tiers are broken down in what an app design agency in Lebanon charges.

What do NSSF and software add to a designer's salary in Lebanon?

They add about 14% plus a Figma seat, so a mid-level designer on $900 a month costs about $12,541 a year. Employers pay NSSF at 8% for sickness and maternity, 6% for family allowance on a capped base, and 5% for end of service, as PwC's Lebanon tax summary sets out.

Those contributions are calculated in lira. NSSF converts dollar salaries at LL 89,500, according to the same PwC page. At that rate the LL 18 million family allowance base is about $201, so its 6% adds roughly $12 a month. The LL 120 million sickness ceiling sits near $1,341, which caps that line only for senior pay.

Now add one Figma Professional full seat at $16 a month. Using the top of each Talents-OS band, a junior on $550 costs about $7,795 a year. A mid-level designer on $900 costs about $12,541. A senior on $1,350 costs about $18,634. The laptop, a generator share and a backup internet line come on top.

Freelancer, agency or in-house: which is cheaper for your workload?

A freelancer is cheaper below about 35 design hours a month; above that, a mid-level hire wins. At an Upwork rate of $30 an hour, 35 hours cost $1,050. That is roughly what a $900 designer costs each month once NSSF and a Figma seat are added. An agency costs more per hour but brings a team.

The chart shows why the question is about load, not rate. Ten freelance hours a month is the cheapest design help you can buy. Forty hours a month costs more than a salaried mid-level designer.

One trap sits outside the table. A freelancer who keeps the Figma file keeps your product. Furrsati's hiring guide tells buyers to confirm source file ownership before work starts, and that clause costs nothing to add.

How much does a UX audit cost?

A focused UX audit scoped at 20 to 40 hours costs about $500 to $1,960 at agency rates. Those rates are the $25 to $49 an hour that Clutch reports for usability testing and UX strategy work. An audit is the cheapest way to learn whether you need a redesign at all, before anyone draws a new screen.

At Voxire, an audit is how most redesign conversations start. Lebanese businesses often shipped a first version fast, and now it leaks. We walk the checkout, booking or signup flow on a mid-range Android phone, in Arabic and in English. Each problem is ranked by the sales it costs. If the fixes justify a redesign, it is scoped from our own published $2,000 floor. If not, your developer gets the list.

Do Arabic and English screens need separate design work?

Yes: every bilingual screen needs a mirrored right-to-left layout, Arabic type that stays legible at small sizes, and states for text that runs longer. Binary Cords lists the second language among the real scope drivers for Lebanese projects. Ask any quote whether Arabic is included or priced later.

Mirroring is not flipping. Icons with direction, number fields and mixed Latin product names all need their own decisions, which our Arabic RTL typography guide walks through. Voxire designs both directions from the first wireframe, because retrofitting Arabic onto a finished English file costs a second pass.

Is UX designer worth it?

A UX designer is worth it when your site or app already sells and loses buyers in a flow you can measure. Baymard Institute puts average cart abandonment at 70.22%. It estimates large ecommerce sites can gain a 35.26% conversion lift through better checkout design alone.

Run the arithmetic on your own numbers. Say a store sells $10,000 a month and checkout fixes recover a tenth of Baymard's 35.26% figure. Revenue rises about 3.5%, or $350 a month. A $2,000 redesign then pays back in under six months. A store selling far less should buy an audit first.

The UX principles that turn visitors into customers are the same at every budget. What changes is who applies them, and for how many hours.

What should you actually do this week?

Count the design hours you bought, or wished you had, over the last three months, then pick the route that fits that number. Below about 35 hours a month, hire freelance with a source file clause. Above it, budget a salaried designer at full cost, not salary alone. Unsure? Buy an audit first.

  1. Pick the one flow that earns you money: checkout, booking or the WhatsApp contact button.
  2. Pull last quarter's design invoices and convert them to hours.
  3. Ask every freelancer for the editable Figma file in writing.
  4. Price a hire with NSSF and a Figma seat included.
  5. Ask each agency whether Arabic screens are in the quote.
