GEO Agency in Lebanon 2026: Prices and What to Check

GEO Agency in Lebanon 2026: Prices and What to Check

What a GEO agency in Lebanon should cost in 2026, which parts are ordinary SEO, and the checks to run before you sign a retainer.

Beirut agencies began selling GEO as a separate monthly line this year, mostly at prices borrowed from American retainers. Revv Growth's pricing guide puts small and mid-market GEO programs at $3,000 to $10,000 a month. Few Lebanese SMEs can carry that. Fewer need to.

The decision in front of you is narrower than the pitch suggests. Some of GEO is new work: tracking what ChatGPT and Perplexity say about you, and letting their crawlers in. Most of it is SEO under a new label. Below, each part gets a price, a check you can run yourself, and the claims that should end the meeting.

How much does a GEO cost?

For a Lebanese SME, GEO costs what a competent SEO retainer costs, because most of the work is the same. At Voxire it sits inside our SEO service, which starts at $600 per month for local businesses and runs $1,000 to $2,000 per month for competitive national terms. Tracking tools are extra.

The American figures on page one describe a different product. Revv Growth lists $3,000 to $7,000 a month for a starter program and $15,000 to $25,000 or more for enterprise work. Those programs bundle multi-market content and digital PR with a dedicated strategist. A dental clinic in Jounieh does not need any of that.

The one new cost is monitoring. Otterly.AI's pricing page charges $29 a month to track 15 prompts, $189 for 100 prompts and $489 for 400. A prompt is a question you want to be named in, such as "best family lawyer in Beirut". Most local businesses need a few dozen, not hundreds.

Is GEO better than SEO?

GEO is not better than SEO, because it is built on SEO. Google's guidance on AI features says the same foundational SEO best practices apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode. A page that cannot be crawled or ranked is unlikely to be quoted in an AI answer.

What GEO adds is a different target. Classic SEO aims for a click on a blue link. GEO aims for a sentence inside the answer, with your name in it. The research paper that named GEO, accepted at KDD 2024, measured visibility gains of up to 40% in generative engine responses from edits such as adding statistics and quotations with their sources.

That finding shapes how we write for clients. The first paragraph under every heading answers the question directly, and any number sits next to its source. You are reading that format now.

What does a GEO agency do for a Lebanese business?

A real GEO engagement has five deliverables you can see, and none of them needs a proprietary name. They are crawler access, consistent business facts, answer-shaped pages, structured data, and monthly tracking of what AI engines say about you in English and Arabic.

  1. Crawler access. AI search engines send their own crawlers. OpenAI's crawler documentation separates OAI-SearchBot, which surfaces sites in ChatGPT search, from GPTBot, which collects training data. Perplexity's bot documentation asks sites to allow PerplexityBot to appear in its results. A firewall rule or a security plugin default can block them without anyone noticing.
  2. Consistent business facts. Your name, address, phone and opening hours must match across your site, Google Business Profile, Instagram and directories. AI engines assemble answers from several sources, and conflicting facts tend to get dropped.
  3. Answer-shaped pages. Each service page opens with a direct answer to the buyer's question, followed by the price and the proof behind it.
  4. Structured data. Organization, LocalBusiness and FAQ schema tell machines what a page is about without guessing.
  5. Tracking in both languages. A fixed prompt list, such as "best dentist in Zahle" and its Arabic equivalent, checked every month.

An llms.txt file is optional, and nobody should charge you much for it. The llms.txt proposal describes a Markdown summary at the site root for AI agents. We publish one on voxire.com and serve a Markdown copy of every page to agents that ask for it. You can see the setup working on our domain before we touch yours.

What can you check yourself before hiring a GEO agency?

You can check four things yourself before any sales call. Open your robots.txt, ask ChatGPT and Perplexity about your category, compare your business facts across platforms, and look at the agency's own site. If the agency fails its own audit, it will not pass yours.

  1. Visit yourdomain.com/robots.txt. Look for lines that disallow OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot or ClaudeBot. A User-agent: * line followed by Disallow: / blocks every crawler.
  2. Ask ChatGPT and Perplexity the question your customer asks, in English and in Arabic: "best orthodontist in Beirut" and "أفضل طبيب تقويم أسنان في بيروت". Write down who is named and which sources are cited.
  3. Compare the phone number and hours on your website against your Google Business Profile. Any mismatch is the first fix.
  4. Run the same checks on the agency's own domain. Then ask for the exact prompt list they will track for you, in writing.

Which GEO claims should make you walk away?

Walk away from any agency that guarantees citations, cannot source its statistics, or sells a branded method it will not explain. Nobody controls what ChatGPT or Google's AI says, and Google states that AI Overviews often do not trigger at all.

Unsourced statistics are the most common warning sign. Several Lebanese GEO pages we read this month quote large citation lifts from a "benchmark report" that they never link. Ask for the report. If it is not public, treat the figure as marketing.

Confusing training with search is the second. Blocking GPTBot keeps your pages out of OpenAI's training data, while OAI-SearchBot decides whether ChatGPT search can show you, according to OpenAI's documentation. An agency that promises to place your brand inside the model is selling something no one outside the lab controls.

Does GEO matter if few Lebanese customers use ChatGPT?

It matters because Google itself now answers before it links, and fewer people click. In a study of US users, Pew Research Center found people clicked a result in 8% of visits with an AI summary, against 15% without one.

Lebanese searchers get the same AI Overviews on Google, in English and increasingly in Arabic. So the real question is not ChatGPT adoption in Lebanon. It is whether your business is named inside the summary that sits above your website. For a clinic or a restaurant, that summary is now the first impression. We track Google's AI answers alongside ChatGPT and Perplexity for that reason.

What should a GEO report show you every month?

Voxire includes GEO in our SEO retainer, from $600 per month on our published pricing, instead of selling it as a second contract. Every engagement starts with an audit: crawler access, business facts, schema, and a written baseline of what AI engines say about you today.

From the second month, each report lists the prompts we track and, for each one, which engine named you and which page it cited. If a large prompt set needs a paid tracking tool, you see the vendor's published price before anything is added. Nothing is hidden inside a bundle.

If you are still comparing providers, how to choose an SEO agency in Lebanon covers contract terms and red flags. The Lebanon SEO cost guide breaks retainers down by budget. For the technical work in more depth, read GEO for Lebanese businesses.

What should you actually do this week?

Spend this week finding out what AI engines already say about you, before you pay anyone. Check your robots.txt, ask ChatGPT and Perplexity five buyer questions in English and Arabic, fix any mismatched phone number or hours, and ask each agency you meet for its prompt list.

If your crawler access is blocked or your facts conflict, fix that first. It costs nothing. If competitors are named and you are not, that is the gap a retainer should close, and it is the gap we price against.
